Heart of Australia

Each year the Conference Committee selects an organisation to benefit from the Live and Silent Auctions and Raffle held during the Informal Dinner on Monday.

This year we will be raising funds to support:

Heart of Australia

Heart of Australia is on a mission to deliver quality, specialist medical services to Australians living in rural and regional communities. Heart of Australia embraces an innovative approach to front-line service delivery, bringing medical specialists and state-of-the-art equipment to communities that need them on a fleet of custom-designed mobile medical clinics. It’s a service which literally gets the doctors and the equipment out there doing the work..

Heart of Australia embraces an innovative approach to front-line service delivery, bring medical specialists and the state-of-the-art equipment they require to the communities that need them on a fleet of custom-designed mobile medical clinics.

These mobile clinics, lovingly referred to as the “Heart Trucks”, travel from town to town on fixed routes throughout rural and regional Queensland. Specialist services currently being delivered include cardiology, gynaecology, neurology and endocrinology, with many patients living and working in mining communities..

Since Heart of Australia commenced operations in 2014, they have seen over 10,000 patients in the community and helped save over 400 lives.

A separate program, Heart of Australia Corporate Health Initiative (HOACHI), was launched in 2018 and provides mobile health screening, intervention and education programs to organisations in rural and regional Queensland. As well as being an approved provider for the Coal Mine Workers’ Health Scheme, HOACHI provides a range of preventative employee health services, all of which are rigorously field-tested and designed to deliver improved health outcomes at both the individual and organisational level

If you would like to support Heart of Australia by making a donation of a prize for the auctions, please contact the Conference Organiser at the e-mail address below.

Donated prizes for the live and silent auctions that will be held during the Informal Dinner on Monday evening will be listed on this page as they become available.
