ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstract submissions for the 2023 program have now closed.
The QMIHSC 2023 organising committee is calling for abstract submissions for consideration in the 2023 conference program.
Abstracts will be considered for an oral presentation in one of the concurrent sessions and submission is open to everyone associated with resources and related industries, including companies and sites (minerals, coal, quarries, exploration, oil and energy), operators, contractors, consultants, lawyers, suppliers and regulators.

- More than one submission may be considered
- Submission must cover issues of relevance to occupational health and safety within the Queensland Resources Industry
- Submission must be relevant to one or more 2023 conference topics and should fall under one of the conference general areas of interest
- Submission text must not exceed 300 words
- Do not include the presentation title, author names or affiliations in the text box, as these details will be captured during the submission process via the abstract submission portal
- All abbreviations must be spelled out on first use
- Scientific names must be italicised
- Submissions are to be text only. Graphs, figures, diagrams, images etc. must not be included
- Submissions should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar, as if successful, will be included in the conference app
To ensure your presentation is included in QMIHSC 2023 program, successful presenters will require to have a paid registration for the conference by 1 July 2023. If you do not register by this date, your submission may be withdrawn.
Travel and accommodation are not included and will be at your own expense.
Should your presentation submission be accepted, it will be published in the conference app. We recommend you proof your submission well prior to submitting.
The presentation must not be of a commercial nature or directly advertise or promote commercial products or services.
You will be allocated up to 20 minutes for your presentation and an additional 5 minutes for Q&A during the conference program on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
You will be able to save your abstract as a draft and return to it at any time for editing before completing your submission. Once you have submitted your document, you will not be able to edit it.
