Conference code of conduct

The Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference aims to create a supportive, non-judgemental, friendly, fun, inclusive, empowering and professional learning environment for everyone to enjoy. Our ‘Code of Conduct’ helps to uphold these community values for our delegates, sponsors, volunteers and staff. We recognise all Australian laws relevant to discrimination and sexual harassment and are committed to safety for our attendees, including feeling safe and supported to raise any concerns with us.

We ask all delegates, sponsors, volunteers and staff to be particularly mindful of their behaviour during licensed networking events. We support our venues to enforce Responsible Service of Alcohol standards. We are an inclusive organisation and will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment. Persons demonstrating behaviours consistent with sexual harassment or discrimination will be asked to leave the conference. Please ensure you respect other attendees’ and venue staff’s personal space.
